Peninsula Wines
Seen for a long time as a second class grape —specially in comparison to tempranillo— garnacha is having a revival of sorts in different regions in Spain. From Madrid's high altitude examples in the Sierra de Gredos to Catalonia's more recent experimentation with the variety. And of course Aragón and Navarra, where the variety has been used non stop for centuries and the winemaking style reaches heights on par with its french counterparts.
